Here’s the idea—it’s been 30 years since we graduated high school, just about 30 years since Matt passed away. He was our loved friends and classmates, and their families are still around. I keep up with Matt’s family,

In honor of our 30th reunion, I thought it would be fun if a bunch of us gave them those updates now. I think it would mean a lot for them to be remembered in this way. I don’t know about you guys, but I still think about Matt a lot.

Please consider donating to the Matthew Watson Memorial Journalism Scholarship. The family has told me that it could use a boost, and I would love to see it continue forever. It’s a $500 scholarship that goes to a senior who worked on the Little Hawk newspaper, demonstrated leadership, and excelled in his or her journalistic efforts.
