Bio

Originally from Iowa City, IA, Jeff Houghton is an Emmy Award winning television host. He's also a writer, actor, and improviser. Jeff hosts The Mystery Hour, a late night talk show he created in 2006, now in its 5th season on FOX, with 5 previous seasons as a live, pre-televised show.  Jeff recently won an Emmy for On-Camera Talent - Performer/Host.

Jeff honed his hosting skills while working for the Late Show with David Letterman. He helped to create and star in the viral hit, "Instagram Husband," which reached millions of views, was covered by the media worldwide, and along the way coined a new phrase. Additionally, Jeff can be seen in various regional and national commercials, and wrote and starred in the viral hit, "Missouri is Awesome." Jeff works as on-air talent for FOX 5, he has performed stand up at the Comedy Store, worked with Funny or Die, and trained at the Upright Citizen's Brigade. Jeff was a member of The Skinny Improv mainstage cast for several years where he performed at the home theatre every weekend and traveled the country.

Jeff was named 417 Magazine's Entertainer of the Year, and Springfield Business Journal's 12 People You Need to Know as well as 40 Under 40. Awards are nice, but kinda dumb in comparison with his wife Michelle and son Elias.
